Awesome New Principal

Mr Gilbert has recently retired and now Mr Canute is principal for term 2. We are lucky to have him because he is really nice. Once term 2 is over Mr Canute will no longer be our principal and we will have our new principal Mr Crowhurst at our school. We are looking forward to meeting him!

The Amazing Makerspace

We have a fantastic new makerspace at our school. There is a roster for all classes to come to the makerspace each week to learn about robotics and coding. Sometimes the classes just make stuff with junk materials. It is a place where we can create and solve problems. All the kids in the school love the Makerspace!!

Sports Exchange

On Thursday afternoons different schools compete in sports such as Netball,Soccer and rugby in an Interschool Sports Exchange. These teams travel to other schools to compete against  other primary schools.They compete against each other for fun and to feel fit and learn how how to be active.

Volcanic Eruption And Earthquake Hit Hawaii

Kilauea volcano erupted killing 26 people and threatening over hundreds more. Nearly 2,000 people have been evacuated from their homes. On Sunday night vents opened and lava leaped up  to 70m in the air. Hawaii was hit by a 6.9 powerful magnitude  earthquake on Friday. Kilauea is one of the worlds most  active volcanoes.

Avengers Movie

 
Avengers is the biggest movie this year and the producers have made a lot of money from it. It's a very cool movie too watch and it is a family fun movie which everyone will love. For a change you could go to the movies and buy some popcorn and icecream, sit down with your kids and enjoy the fun while you can. If you do go trust me you wont regret it one bit.

Cleaner Finds Gold in Airport

An airport worker found seven gold bars worth 350 million dollars and he found it in the bin at the airport. After he found it he immediately informed the airport security. Each gold bar weighed one kilogram and the gold is not  connected to any criminal activity.

Surfer Breaks World Biggest World Record!

Surf officials have confirmed that a Brazilian person has broken the world record of surfing for the worlds biggest wave last year. Winning the award for breaking the record was "one of the best days," said Rodrigo Koxa. He surfed an 80ft (24.4-metre) wave at Nazaré in Portugal on 8 November 2017

Doctors Warn About the Game Fortnite

Do you know the game that is blowing up called
Fortnite?
It is a game where 100 people in a server battle till there is 1 player left or 1 team left. It sounds cool right but there is a bad thing about it. Doctors have been warning people about gaming addiction, if you don't know what gaming addiction is it is when you  can't stop playing a game which is bad so try to stop playing fortnite for too long,maybe only have three battles a day.
