Margaret Mahy died at the age 76 and she had a type of illness thats how she died. Margaret Mahy won in the childrens book awards. It was very sad to hear on the news at Papatoetoe School Library that she had died. She wasn't really good at cooking, but she made yum sandwiches and Margaret Mahy also loved salads. She was born in Whakatane in the Bay of Plenty in New Zealander.
