Travelwise

Max the Pukeko visited our school to promote Travelwise by Auckland Transport. This programme is to encourage students to walk, bike, bus, train and carpool to school. So we went and interviewed Max. We first asked him why he was a pukeko? He was born like a pukeko. Second we asked how he gets to school and he said he liked walking. Next we asked how we should walk to school and he told us to walk or join the walking school bus. He also said it's safe to walk to school with the walking school bus. So try it today - the times are Thursdays at 8:10 am at the corner of Kimpton and Cornwall Rd.

The NZ transport agencey has Published a new book called "Sione's First Walk to School". It was created by the kids from Fruitvale Primary School. Come to the library and see the book later.
