This time of year is when Muslim people fast. They fast because they show everyone what it's like to stay hungry. Their fasting starts at 3.00am in the morning and finishes at 7.00pm at night and this continues for about a month. Ramadan is also a gift from god to people who fast and the gift is life. People celebrate Ramadan all around the world.

Netball Tournament

We had a netball tournament on Tuesday 21st of June. The netball teams played at Bruce Pullman Park. We had it because there had to be a rematch about netball. The coaches were training our school netball teams. My couch is Miss Tomasone and she is a great coach. I love netball because its fun and entertaining for our team. In my opinion I think that netball was so challenging at first then I got used to it.

Finding Dory

Many people love finding Nemo, well good news. Recently, finding Dory has been released. Finding Dory has a five star rating. This movie is about Dory losing her family. This movie is similar to finding Nemo. But this could be more interesting. Finding Dory has only been released in America and will be released on the 23d of June. Dory is a funny fish who has a really funny personality. Make sure you watch it.

Leopard Escapes Zoo in the USA

A leopard escapes from Hogle Zoo in Utah, USA. He escaped in a public area but it was lucky for the people that they all hid in the shop, café and other buildings. The leopard was a 4 year old girl and her name was Zeya. Zeya was found an hour later asleep near her enclosure. The strange thing was that no one knows what happened when she escaped.
In my opinion I say that they're not doing their jobs at the zoo because they did not see what happened or they did not stop the leopard from getting away.

Matariki And The History Behind It

In late May and early June Matariki starts which is the Maori new year. There are lots of names for Matariki such as Subaru and the seven sisters. To celebrate Matariki people learn how to make things out of flax, remember about the past and think about the future. People fly kites to celebrate Matariki because they believe that the kites fly up near the stars. Matariki is also the name of the biggest star in the cluster of stars.

Traditionally it was to remember the dead, and to celebrate new life. In the 21st century, observing it has become popular again. There are lots of celebrations happening all around the country.

3 Metre Long Python

A Thai man Named Attaporn Boonmakchuay got bitten by a python on the toilet seat. His wife was forced to pull him off the seat because there was no option. This incident happened in Thailand at his house in Chachoengsao Province east of Bangkok on the 1st of June. This happened because the snake got in to the plumbing system somehow.

Maori Emojies Comming To Your Phone

In July there's gonna be Maori emojies coming out and it includes waka ama (outrigger canoe). All the emojies are coming on your phone. It has been developed just for New Zealand. They are cropping up online after being unveiled two weeks ago. In my opinion it's great having Maori emojies because if someone is Maori they can send each other messages to their phones.
