The Old Woman Who Loved to Read

I like this book because I love to read. Now I am going to tell you some events of this book.

In a small farm house in the country lived an old woman who loved to read. She had once lived in the city, but life there was no longer quiet and peaceful, so she decided to move.

I like this book by John Winch. You can find this book in our school library. I hope that you like this book too!

Spookiest Stories

One of our school library books is called: ''Spookiest Stories'' by Paul Jenning. You should read the chapter called 'The Copy' because it is about an old man who makes an invention which can copy and reverse things they copied. One day the boy was fighting a boy named Tick. So the boy made a copy of himself. Everything the boy does the copy does the same. The next day the copy and the boy went near the invention and the boy pushed the copy into the invention and pushed reverse. When the boy went home his mum asked him to write something. Then his mum said "Why are you writing with your left hand you mostly write with your right". The boy looked in the mirror and said "Oh no i'm the copy!" So I recommend you to read this book it is spine tingling.(Dont read it at night I had scary dreams too!!).

Sons of Thor, Dane the Defiant.

Written by Magnus Bledwell
This book is so facinating it's good enough to be a movie!
Dane is a normal villager who is in love with Astrid, but so is Prince Thidrek. As you read, Astrid is captured by the evil Prince Thidrek and he swaps her for Thor's Hammer. What will the Frost Giant do to her?
As Dane has adventures with his arch enemy, Drott, to save the lovely Astrid, they face two wells which either hold Extreme Wiseness or Complete Dumdness, not to mention the Evil Ice Rat! OH NO! If they can pass that challenge, there are bound to be worse challenges ahead than that! They come face to face with their death itself by Thidreks axe! Their lives are thrown into many topsy turvy situations. This is a book that insists you bite your nails, stamp your feet and leaves you on the
edge of your seat! If it is not on display in your Library, try the Senior Fiction section. (BLE)
