Volunteers for the RWC

Today we met Mark who is a volunteer driver for the Rugby World Cup.
Mark gets a supporters kit which includes a t-shirt, trousers, a cool jacket and a backpack bag. He also wears an identification card around his neck to say that he is an official volunteer. Volunteers are pretty special people because they don't get paid for the hard work they do.

Mark gets to drive around all day in a flash Land Rover with amazing RWC patterns all over it. He drives an important person from South Africa. Mark drives him to games, meetings and dinners all over Auckland.

Some lucky kids got to check out the flash car!!

Mark supports the ALL BLACKS and he hopes they will win the WORLD CUP this year. D6 kids helped Mark shout out for the ALL BLACKS!

Adidas- Charging To Much For The New All Blacks Jersey!?

The Allblacks have a new jersey and Adidas are charging $220.00 to buy one here in New Zealand!

Now normally you can go onto 'worldrugbyshop.com' to buy an Allblacks jersey for half that price. But Adidas have taken NZ off the site so now Kiwis can't buy the jerseys from overseas. We're NZ citizens and should be able to buy them at a cheaper price than people from other countries who don't even support the Allblacks. The prices should be lowered just to New Zealanders so we can support them. On the 8th of August it seems that Adidas took NZ off the shipping areas so now we can't buy them from there because Adidas have refused to let NZ citizens buy them cheaper. The Tshirt cost $96.50 in the US and $128.00 in Britain including postage and packaging. At the price shops here are selling them, no one in NZ will want to buy one for that price.
Adidas has been a great supporter of the NZ rugby, but now they are refusing to listen to the the NZ public!
