The Peace Garden

During the Term break a team of workers including builders, plumbers, gardeners and landscapers began work on our Peace Garden.
Now that it is completed, we need a new name for our peace garden and the new name is the Wahi Hoki Hoa friendship garden. The Peace Garden is for remembering all the people that have been a part of our school the Wahi Hoki Hoa garden is completed and ready to be open for everyone to have a look at.

A Peace Garden

Did you know that Mr Gilbert is focusing on building a peace garden?
Over the past 8-10 years Mr Gilbert and the teachers have been trying their best to a create a peace garden  but there was always building going on so they failed to find a spot. But after years of waiting we are finally going to make it because he has found the perfect spot located in front of C1 and C2. He says we will remove the stairs and the foot path and we will add 6 trees and 2 new foot paths that come from the side and merge in the middle. He is also hoping that we can get a water fountain right in the middle.
The reason we are building a peace garden is to remember our dear ones who have passed away years ago and to make peace with everyone in our school community. Mr Gilbert says that we will work with a landscape gardener and an architect to construct the garden and I'm sure that the Enviro Team will help out as well as other students.

I bet you can't wait to see the finished garden! Watch the space to see how it turns out!
